I think we all know this feeling! LOL, I think he is thinking “Don’t bother me!” Or maybe it’s “Now, what?”
Good morning! Coffee at the ready and the sun is out! I am ready for the day! May you be ready for the day! Perhaps, Merlock (above) was ready for a day of napping.
When I think of cats, they know how to take time for themselves. Cat’s and dogs, horses, cows, and domesticated animals have obvious connections with us, and with each other. I did not think a great deal about these kinds of connections until I took on the art collaboration about the connections we have with the earth, animals, plants, trees, and each other humans. There is a lot more too having a relationship with all of these. A conscience relationship where one is aware of that connection. It is when we slow ourselves down that we can focus in on how we feel about things. When it is a deliberate focus it’s different then when a thought comes across the mind and we follow that. Memories take us to places we love or to the people we love, pets____. But thoughts about other things like what it is to have a connection? That leans towards personal philosophies and knowledge about a particular topic. Such as one’s creative process. Until I to USM for my Bachelor of Fine Art’s Degree I did not think greatly about the process of creating art. Now it interests me greatly because I want to know more about how art heals, and about how the brain works to inform the body to do just that!
The connections made by humans, plants, animals, trees, etc. are things felt. Human’s respond to human’s that’s obvious. But so do plants, animals and trees, birds, ___. Physics! I am amazed at how alive the world is for me now that I think of the world responding to me!
I think of me as a child not wanting to walk on the lawn because I might kill something living there! Chuckling here. Not something one can do something about really is it? The point is that it was awareness of other things existing. And I was connecting with what I did know about such as little red spiders, ants, worms? Was I crushing them when I walked on the lawn? Chuckling here too as I write.
Once we put a thought out there by giving it to others such as with writing a blog it triggers something in someone, and they are connected through identifying with thoughts by another human. Writers and poets know a lot about how we connect to one another! Observation allows them the intimacy of being human. Now a poem about connections.
The world Should Be A Masked Ball!
The world should be a masked ball! Where we dance, one and all!
Where color or race becomes Naude, and no one is pushed out.
Such a ball! Masks dawned all joyful, teasing but reflecting,
A minor hiding of the self, yet telling too, until unmasked.
It begs the questions, “Who am I? Who do you think I am?
The point is having such a question and then continue the dance.
Dancers trust in each other to take the steps of the dancer.
Relationships are based on words and actions.
These creates attraction, a common thread which time reveals.
The dance a beginning of a common bond.
