Good morning! Coffee at the ready! May love and laughter find you! The earth is getting a bath today; it’s raining and will for several days. My thoughts today are about the connections we have. Some of which seem hidden from thought.
Life unfolds, something like this fern unfolds. Slow and with purpose. Like humans this fern has its own form of consciousness to become what it is. Trees also have their own brand of consciousness. Animals___ all living things. This is a fascinating concept, but true as nothing lives without the will to thrive and become, that is consciousness. Taking this a whole step further we are linked through consciousness. All humans, with plants, animals, trees and plants: with all that lives. The earth! If we believe this, we find connections which are there and waiting to be picked up and run with. That love of getting out into the world to enjoy nature is a fine example. Do you feel the pull, that is connection, do you feel you love certain things about nature or animals, plants, trees and other people? That’s connection!
Old Sol
Old Sol comes over the edge of the world.
Over the knoll, through the woods, fast in his magic.
He reaches out passed solitary trees, the gregarious hardwoods,
Under he goes beneath clustering shrubs, titillating there!
He laces himself around the fauna and flora.
Their heads arched and nodding, waking for the day.
They beckon, flutter, reaching upward in hope to touch the sky.
Rushing! Deep down into green lushness Sol has plunged.
Onto the sleepy headed souls of the trees.
Merrily he dances on their soft beds while waking all things!
Outstretched limbs that quiver and shake as they warm.
They embrace both earth and sky. All things yawn as they wake.
As day gets longer the gray ghosts wake from their nights rest.
In deeper shades of purple hue and steely blue the grow stronger,
Kaliedoscoping as the roll along across the ground.
Surrounded by dappled light, they rebel, hugging fast,
Still restless in their dreams, they are reluctant to transform.
But the world is full of joyful clatter! Birds sing, squirrels chatter!
And at the end of the day? Old Sol knows all to soon____,
Midday has come and gone and now comes glorious moon!
Goddess Luna in her wake, kisses Sol and sighs.
The oneness here is sweet surrender bringing in the night.
