Good Morning! Sunshine!
Good morning! Coffee at the ready! The sun is out, with clouds and we are to be in the 60’s today. “Hmmmm, ____. ” Thinking about all people and wishing them love and laughter.

A bit about the image above. This is now at the Age of Aquarius health and healing Center to be sold. The idea comes from another artist, my goal to create something similar. Artist learn from other artist. I have been learning how to use oil pastels.
~Thoughts For The Day~

What’s happening in the Studio?
It’s about pen and ink at the moment. Sometimes there is a need to do something different giving time for other art to jell. It’s a continual cycle of moving through one’s work. Sorting things out for use. I love touching and seeing the tools I use before me. I often think “This is who I am! This is what I love!” It is the same compulsion I have to write. I love to express my thoughts or the simple beauty I see. Sometimes I move to symbolism when I want to convey something that means a lot to me. Abstraction does the trick.
I wonder at who likes or is interested in the same kinds of things as I am. The writer in me puts it out there in the hopes it is interesting to someone. Creativity has been on my mind. The creative process to be more exact.
Max Ernst wrote about his creativity saying the following about inspiration. “It all started on August 10, 1925, by my recalling an incident of my childhood when the sight of an imitation mahogany panel opposite my bed had induced one of those dreams between sleep and waking. And happening to be at a seaside inn in wet weather I was struck by the way the floor, its grain accentuated by many scrubbings, obsessed my nervously excited gaze. (I have been in this state.) So, I decided to explore the symbolism of the obsessions, and to encourage my powers of meditation and hallucination. I took a series of drawings from the floorboards, by dropping pieces of paper on them at random and then rubbing the paper with black lead.
As I looked carefully at the drawings that I got this way___ some dark, others smudged visionary powers, and by the dreamlike succession of contradictory image that came on top of one another with the persistence and rapidity peculiar to memories of love__. “
(There is more of his thoughts in the book I reference. This book has been a favorite about the creative process. The creative Process, A symposium edited by Brewster Ghiselin. a compellation of many interesting fellow creatives.)
With these few words I see how his mind works, I identify with his response to what he sees, his inspirations stem from what the room has given him. It is what he has added to what was there. He has given into imagination. He has truly looked and found something more. For me it is seeing more. It’s called Pareidolia. A common example is looking at clouds and finding something in them. I apply pareidolia when I create Shibui Found Image Art. This is called zoning or it is also called trance. Not the kind of trance that comes to mind, but a hyper focusing in and seeing more in a magnified way.
For me, I love learning from other artist and writers. A peek into their personal process where I can feel a kindred spirit, a oneness, a rightness, ___that someone else thinks along the same lines. It’s confirmation. It is something you can identify with.
I identify with what goes back to his and my childhood experience. It was while a child I fell in love Pareidolia; this way of seeing became a habit. I found myself studying the walls, floors and objects when I went to bed or if it was required of me to sit quietly waiting for parents, or if I had to sit in the chair to change my mind regarding some infraction I had done. I amused myself with my surroundings due to my creative nature. Mind always spinning, always questioning.
~Poetry~ Prose~
Seeing as I see.
Do you see it? The shadow against the light? Or perhaps you notice the shiny tiny particles floating down in the sunlight from the window. Like magic, mesmerizing. One stares, fascinated, glued to the spot! My child’s mind wondered if these were small worlds floating down. I had watched Horton Hears A Who. I thought why not! I also avoided walking on the lawn least I crush something living there. Certainly, things did not live in dirt I thought. I would step out from the steps coming down as there was a strip of grass at the bottom of the steps. Over time to get from point A to point Z one has to give up this thought. Otherwise, we would be walking like on hot coals and saying sorry to what might have happened under our feet. You can get into this and get even more crazy with the idea if you think of the microscopic things around us in our immediate worlds.

Light From The Window Reveals
Do you see it? Shadow and light? Sun from the window,
Magnifying, transforming its beam.
A world or worlds of its own. It has claimed and revealed.
A privilege, a gift from the sun! And there I am transfixed.
Not wanting to be pulled away by anyone.
Am I breathing these same things I see shiny and floating down?
