~A morning greeting~

Good morning! Sunshine! Coffee at the ready! And I found a rounded wooden disk Thomas made as a worry stone. It actually vibrates with his energy like my stones do. It was hours in the making! I will keep it with me.

My son Stephen fishing. He does not always take time off for himself. He owns a Maple Syrup Business. Boils it and turns it into syrup and other treats. It’s great to be back to Maine and see more of my family and old friends!

It makes me remember helping his father and grandfather tap the trees. Knocking in spiles and hanging buckets and in the spring, you found this further up the tree than you remembered placing them. Riding in on snowmobiles, checking the pipelines which led to a large container you would draw from. Load it and take it to the sap house. He has quite the operation going now! Very proud of him!

~Thoughts of the day~

The day begins with an obvious sense for me and that is it is just me now. Then it’s what do I do with today? The first thing is writing Good Morning Sunshine! And working on the WordPress website. This will be how I move forward with the writing and artwork. Now to understand ecommerse!

“Hmmmmm___” I am thinking. What do I have to offer others? Well, I think that other people are not much different. I know that it has helped me to read all my life. Books, articles, now blogs! When we read we find the words we can put together to express our own thoughts. It is wonderful to find others who think like we do, reaffirm how we feel, or bring forth understanding something in a new way. By writing you understand yourself and by writing you find the woods to express your feelings. In a way it is journalling you’re sharing. This is why I write. Perhaps I have given the gift of thought to someone else. We certainly need to change up what and how we think! We need hope and happiness. We need the delight found in living life well.

~A Poem~

The Change In Me.

The change in me is recognizing that I evolve and become.

That it is good to give recognition to the self, with love.

How to love who we are? Is to think about our words and actions. the results there of.

At if we do not like what we find there at our core?

We can pivot and become. Adopt the attitude of “Just do it!”

Dare to change. This is what we need to be comfortable with.

Not stay locked into something that makes us uncomfortable.

I lost my best friend and needed to restart and evolve again.

And so, it’s another path, a journey to within. And it is a journey out into the world.

Confronted, with fears pushed aside them come from thoughts.

Thoughts are not something we need to pick up and run with.

It’s ok to leave some behind, or wait upon solving their meaning.

Some thoughts are not worth keeping! They are old and dusty!

They need to rise with the morning sun! Each day is new!

What’s happening in the studio?

Today there is some organization to do. Preparation of an oil pastel so that it goes to a new home. (A painting of Lady Slippers). Note, I think I am getting the swing of oil pastels! Love the lessons of creating. Creating art is always a point of learning something new or and applying what you know.

I found four pastel paintings I had put away. These were chalk pastels and boxed, under glassine to protect them. Now to find mats and frames and prepare them for selling.

When creating the business plan I need to learn what I have at hand. X number of paintings, their price, a photo shoot and put them out there! That is layer one of the business plan. Now layer two? Pulling prints and generating them, pricing them.

And hobnobbing with potential clients and hires where I can teach Shibui Found Image Art. Following through with leads and hooking teaching jobs. Working all of this out and following through with it. Blocking out time to do these things in.

That is the day after writing Good Morning Sunshine.
