Good afternoon Sunshine!

My first full page Shibui Found Image Art. I do not give permission to use my art.

Whatever the spatters, drips and drops, the shapes that create a form were there. There is a lot to understand when it comes to the technique of using a Shibui foundation. It took me five years to figure it out to explain it as you would traditional art. Once I did, I began teaching the foundation. No two Shibui are the same or work the same way. Now a manual, so others can also know the ins and outs. Shibu is a problem-solving art. Some of you will recall me saying this before. She sold for a very good price! I will brag a little here. Her and a similar ocean scape.

Now that the studio is up and running, I will set up so to teach Shibui again and go places and teach. It feels so good to be “back” into my groove!

We get out of sync at times. At such times its a matter of pivoting. Find a way to do that, don’t over think it, just do it!

It’s true that we have to find the starting point. For example, I just moved back to Maine and so setting up a home and studio needed to be first, and it takes time to do such things. But whatever the sidetrack doesn’t think “That’s it! Can’t do that now!” You can, it’s a choice. I remember letting things stop me because of how I looked at the situation and then feeling bad because something important felt lost to me. Sometimes it made me feel hurt and anger because I felt I had to let go of something important to me. Looking back I realized I did not have to let go, I could have put it on the back burner and looked for opportunities. Notice I did not say “wait” for opportunities. Waiting is like the word trying we so often use. I am working at not using those to words as they set me up every time into the limbo land of waiting or trying before something happens. I spent a lot of my times waiting for others and not figuring things out for myself. I would always say “I will try!” and make a promise that often became forgotten. I would be disappointed in myself, and others would be disappointed in me! I really want to be that do something now person! It takes making the effort! So, I am learning.

Best wishes! Lots of love and laughter! Pejj
