Good morning! Coffee is getting there! Today I took the time to meditate before climbing out of bed. That feels very good! I have my blue skies, the weather forecast says in the 50’s today! Really? That will be good I can leave my front door open and let more sun in. I am thinking about a lawn chair out back.
My thoughts today as always turn to the way things are and before meditation, I sent out healing thoughts. “May all who live on earth have happiness, healing, and have love and laughter. May joy fills their hearts. May the earth’s turmoil end. May we learn to overcome what hurts so deeply, that anger does not fill up our minds.
My last wish for all humans is a big one! Getting past hurt and anger from what has been done is not an easy thing to do. I keep thinking about this. How do we move past this reality? I think that we find our heads and hearts have no satisfying answer to how to stop the pain. Finding a place for pain is hard and requires time to process it. Getting a grip on what the whole thing is about is hard.
When loved one’s die senseless deaths. How do we get past that? When terrible things happen to people. How to we help them? All I can think of is to create a loving caring world for them to land in. More hurt and anger do not help people get back to their balance. To stay trapped with hurt and anger means feeling the world is drained of goodness. It is depressing, and not worthwhile. We stack up over and over again to justify how we feel, why we feel this way. That is not living well. It’s not having a good life.
The kicker is the only one that can change our feelings about anything is us. The only thing that I can see would be a comfort is to land where I would be loved and supported, able to find healing from traumatic events. A place where kindness prevailed.
A world where people care about the world and others in it. That work towards peaceful and good lives. Where all people matter. Why is it that we do not treat each other as equals? That somehow others are less than?
It’s how we have come to believe. That is something we can change. We can look at what influences us. We deem things wrong or right, just or unjust for all kinds of reasons and based on belief. The question then is how can we make allowances for others regarding they believe? With out judgment? And how can we understand what they believe? Well, that’s having an ability to communicate foremost. It means finding a way to let others in so they can understand. Now we are at the need for trust and respect.
Also, there is a need for agreement. If people believe the only way to live as they wish is to get rid of the people unlike them. That is the limbo land of war, of hierarchies where people consider themselves as better, greater than others. Their belief is to survive I must eliminate others who do not believe as I do. I won’t be able to meet my needs and the needs of those I care about if these others exist. Distancing then happens, and people take on the mindset required to accept that that after all is the way.
How do we influence one another then? So that life is better, safer, good for all? If it feels like such an endeavor is too much and that we can’t make a difference so why try. Just roll along and hope for the best. That’s what we seem to have been doing. And the repercussions is obviously not a good one. Morals and ethics matter. Who we are matters! We affect everyone around us by being who we are.
These things concern me. The hope is that I read and hear and see others what a better world too! One where everyone matters. Has this all happened then so our eyes are wide open? It seems so!
