May love and laughter find you! May you find joy in all simplest of things. Always!
I love sharing snippets of Joyce Hifler. Joyce Hifler is a Cherokee author; her writing warms the heart as it dances in the mind. Deeply rooted in her heritage and connection to the earth. The following titles are favorites of mine. “A Cherokee Feast of Days, Think on These Things were honored by the Indian Territory Hall of Fame. She often reflects on her childhood and her love of nature. More titles are: When the Night Bird Sings, Pathways, To Every Thing A Season, Think on These Things. Do find these and enjoy!
Hifler’s food for thought: “It is fun to strike out on one’s own, to follow an idea that is original to our way of thinking, a challenge to our thinking processes. It is wonderful to break through the shell of the middling and to discover that innate ability to see and think and feel without someone else having set the pattern. It is like suddenly being able to see more color, more light, more vision because I am not being shown, I am discovering.”
With these thoughts Hilfler has said how I feel. I love to find books that say thing I feel, often they say them more succinctly. I know that this is the best way for me to be myself. I love original (to me) thoughts. The world indeed has a different feel; it is brighter and there is hope for change. I have always wanted to find my own path forward, as well to merge with like-minded people from time to time, as they energize me, and reaffirm my thoughts. Often, other people say similar things, or they add to an idea. They add “food for thought” ____ideas to mull over or check out for a truest reality. We don’t have to go along with all thought even if it appears to ring true. Choice, acceptance of facts____ Intuition comes into play here. Well, thought out ideas are another matter as they do ring true.
Best wishes! Pejj Nunes
