Anisette Studio

This oil pastel has a new home! Always great when they get a new home! I gave it as a Christmas gift. It had been years since I have done an abstract, never in oil pastels. The interesting part of me is that the reflection in the vase looked like houses. Yet its the reflection of what’s was in my old studio! I am liking what I have learned about using oil pastels. (I give no permission to use my art.)

It is a sunny day here. Yes! Don’t you just love blue skies! My new studio is set up! I sorted all the pastel pencils, and organized materials, pulled unfinished works. The easel is in there and not in my bedroom tucked out of the way. Floor space! LOL My new chair arrived, a Christmas gift from my daughter and her family. A new chair! That’s a sign! Love it! I love my new place!

The world needs to change doesn’t it. It’s a new year and so may this year be a new start of good, continually happening change for all, all over the world! All the horror____ it must end! It won’t be easy to step into a new day because of all the hurt and anger. The loss. It is overwhelming_____ Nothing I might say seems right enough____ the words to express what has happened all over the world, and here in the USA. It is not the place it was, and that was not perfect for sure.

To alienate the rest of the world? I just hope that the people of the world understand that many of us do not condone what has happened.

There are lessons being learned, and may we change and set an example for how to build a better life for all.

The hell of it is that we want the same kinds of things, except those of us with ugly mind sets. Those of us who have brought all this shit into our lives. They need to be dealt with immediately. As human beings what do we want life to look like? We need to be creative, we need to think of every human without bias or prejudice.

This is not the first time civilizations have come crashing down. But it is when they begin to build something new. That is the focus. We need to do whatever it is to heal and help everyone move into a new way of being. Answers are needed, people need to be heard and acknowledged. We can help one another locally. That is a good start.
