Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

Good morning! May love and laughter find you! The sun is shining here! Through the woods, cascading warmth meets the ground. Love it! I see past the bird bath I use as a bird feeder; it gives a better seat. Warm coffee in my cup and watchful eyes for movement in the trees or on the ground. Waiting for songs. Let the rest of the world fade away for these moments in time. It is good to have such a break from all else. It reminds me of the need for balance. Because within those woods’ life goes on in its own way. The cycle of living. All things can return to themselves once they find that they are also part of a whole.

It is important to maintain balance regarding our thoughts and feelings. The moment we tap into something less, the mind begins to stack up those pros and cons, and once that begins, we are out of balance simply due to that process. That process needs to happen to find balance, but if that is all we do those things only stack higher because of possibilities. It is choice that stops the madness.

When examining those stacked pros and cons, some are found useless, not truly unapplicable. Some are unrelatable, and nonsense but there they are in the mix. Answers just to make a point? Other pros and cons are solid, and we should reach those conclusions first. It is not the height of the stack that is important, but the validity of those first conclusions and trust in the gut feeling for what is right. We do not have to borrow from others and doubt ourselves. Rightness is rightness. It does not cause harm to others to prove ourselves right. Treat others as you would yourself and you have balance.

These are thoughts that came into my day. Best wishes. Pejj Nunes
