Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

A simple Shibui bouquet for today.

I am still stuck on Joyce Hifler, I need her reminders to give me peace of mine, my own anxiety is amuck as I wonder what will happen. But a return to what’s local, for that is where home is. I know that not everyone has a safe home, loving others, etc. I do not forget them. But I can reach out and where ever my words reach, give something of myself.

Joyce Hifler, To Everything A Season. ” It is said that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Because we live essentially in a physical world we are naturally interested in learning about ourselves, but we have never accepted or believed the power of the spoken word. We are guilty of using the power closest to us, our words, to blacken and destroy, to maim____ and then we wonder why there is so much unhappiness and personal defeat. There have been instances when one person has talked another back from self-destruction. And there have been instances when too many have used the power of their words to kill. It is foreign to most people to think of hurting someone physically. But it becomes a way of life, an everyday event to harass someone beyond his endurance. Our words can be our servants or our masters. Whatever we send out comes home again. We are essentially broadcasting and receive stations with the responsibility of words. Even our most casual conversation can be dangerous when we idly discuss illnesses, hardships and unhappiness’s. Pg. 21

I believe in people that when they come to truly see what needs to happen, they will take on clearer and better ways of being, speaking to others and thinking about others.

The world is not all about who we are as individuals; there are people who are all around us.

This has a lot to do with the way we have evolved into a world that lacks time. We measure things by time and then feel there is such lack of time. This creates people who feel there is no time to listen to anyone else! That someone else can take on such things because I cannot. The world needs to change how it does things so that people do have time to think and have that time to love and feel compassion for others. If all we do is work, we have no time for others. Anger and frustration are impeding things that run an undercurrent we try to ignore because we are overwhelmed.

I will add this too.

“Forgive me if along the way somewhere____ I have killed your hopes and dreams____ with my own disbelief in everything good.

Forgive me if I could not see with your vision the beauty of this world and the infinite possibilities for peace.

Forgive me my restlessness____ that I could not pause on the path____ to allow wisdom to come forth.

Forgive me that I have not treated each new day with the same ultimate joy that you know____ for another chance to be worthy.

Forgive me for not listening____ when the very atmosphere is so charged____ with universal music____ and ideas too many to grasp.

Forgive me my foolishness’___ that I have believed___ there only existed those things___ which I could see and touch.

Forgive me that I have not thought____ deeply enough outside the limits__ of the ordinary mind___ to believe and overcome.

Forgive me that I have not sensed___ the intense value of life___ the infinitesimal beauty everywhere___ in the smallest to the most majestic of God’s creation.

Forgive me that I have not said thank you.

May love and laughter find you; may you find time to think in your day. Pejj Nunes
