Fruit Bowl 2024, Pejj Nunes.
Good morning! Some classical violin, coffee at the ready and a bowl of organic, blueberry oatmeal with some cream. I don’t eat much dairy so a bit of cream in oatmeal seems a good thing! My coffee is naked. Love the quiet of the morning! Blue skies and sunshine coming and staying for several days!
Today’s Joyce Hifler, Pathways. “Oh! to be glad again____ not just for some reasons, some state of affairs____ but glad, just to be glad, for reasons of existence____ for a chance to look ahead and plan for ways to make life better and happier and freer.
It is said to be glad is the harvest of the quiet eye____ the not looking long distance for happiness, but to feel it from within____ where we refuse to let trifles ruin the brief moments of peace and contentment____ until being glad becomes a habit and so underlies our daily activities that we are free of aches and pains and unhappiness.
We are privileged to enjoy our own rights, but not at the expense of others. Whatever we feel is our right to do, we should first ask ourselves, even though it seems our right, whether it harms someone else. Our freedom to act ends where someone else’s begins. We can’t run roughshod simply because we seem to have the right to do it. Forcing our rights causes setbacks and loss of expensive ground. And we wonder why it happened to us.”
When I grew up, we did improve on many things, but not enough, because we got into deal making and therefore the making of allowances instead of real changes. Too many people were left in the same limbo lands. The sense of having peace seemed like we had moved huge steps forward.
Why not create villages for people to live in while they get back on their feet. If there are older folk, they have a lot to offer! A lifetime of experience! Have this village have health centers. Create the villages so they meet the needs of all people who live there! People need safe havens, they need to meet medical care, they need to eat healthy.
The best if love and laughter! Pejj
