Today is my mother’s birthday. She would have been 90 today. I miss her. I think of the likelihood that some of the things I now think of, she did too.

Today my buddies get out of school early, and so we shall make a picnic lunch and go to the playground. Ollie can take his books back and get the ones he wants to read instead.

Coffee at the ready. A slow start to the day. To many directions I can head in, and a shorter day due to kids being home earlier. So, the focus is on what I can do this morning and then it be holiday time when they come. LOL

I am thinking of life, and “How to eat your cake and have it too!” It seems the answer would be too safe some of it for a while or make a whole new cake! Grandparents had interesting sayings. Puzzles for children. I used to have fun with “Let’s not, and say we did!” Or “Shut your mouth and open up those ears!”

There are 23 Turkeys coming around this year! This is Tom Turkey from last y year. Tom hung out by himself, frequenting my deck looking for goodies. I think that the others may be all girls. The colors in his feathers are beautiful, this mix of color helps turkeys to blend well into the woods. And so. it is like all of a sudden, they go poof as they disperse into the forest. Clever creation.
