Shibui Found Image Art, Garden Goddess, by Pejj Nunes.
Good morning! It’s a little cloudy at present. I think it is turning sunny at some point today. Time will tell.
Today my eyes fell on the following from Joyce Hifler’s book. “To Everything There Is A Season.”
“We cannot lose what us truly ours and we cannot lose that which does not belong to us in the first place, so where is the loss? It is in the mind and thought and attitude, in the belief that because one door closes there are no others to open. Some of the greatest losers of all time are those who supposedly won. And some of the most gracious losers have turned defeat into such significant gains as to surpass even the original trophy”.
I read this several times before going with it. It’s on page 73. The first line on the page begins with the word drama.
How people think and feel in today’s world does indeed feel different to me. When I grew up there was a lot of talk about equal rights, love, becoming all of what you are and might become. Allow others to be themselves. People thought about how to support each other. There was the dream to make the world a better place. People explored what it meant to be a human being. It was not a perfect world even then, but people did try and the world did get better.
If you feed a fire it will burn, and with enough fuel it will get out of control. And then it will be harder to quell what has happened. But even that is not impossible with help, and working with togetherness, it won’t feel so overwhelming.
Best wishes! Pejj
