Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

Ready for the day! Its research today! Have coffee at the right! SO, alright! Light this candle! Kids are off! It is 8:08 am.

Today’s research is about being in “the zone”. Also, known as the flow state. My interest is how the mind works during the creative process. What science does know about being in the flow is interesting. It certainly is being in the zone during the creative process.

It is known that our mind is not using the normal or everyday functions when we are in “the zone”. The brain shuts off if you will these areas and allows us to hyperfocus in a way the outside world is blocked from thought. We humans all do this at some point during the day. It may be someone zones out with a cup of coffee in the morning! I like taking a moment or two to plan the first order of operations. Watch the sun grow across the grass. Having an the birds come out. Yesterday it was fourteen turkeys, there were adult and juveniles, with one small baby. Their route a large oval around the home. Love that they eat the ticks and other bugs. Their zone time has to be a lot different than we humans, as they are always in a set of watchfulness, I think. Zone may happen when they find a place they can rest. LOL.

I am ready to read! So Best wishes! May your day be sunny and bright! It is supposed to get into the mid 70s today so a warm fall day. Sunshine! Chilly mornings and warm days.
