Good morning! First day of School! Kids are just off and I made it back to the cottage at 8:04. Grabbed my cold coffee and a gluten free English muffin and I am ready for the day! A slightly cool morning, the 28th of August 2024. Four more days and I have a job interview for activities leader. Jacobie and Dave headed off at 7. The rhythm of the day begins. I put the Italian song Momma, Maria on when I climbed out, now to shut it off and listen to the quiet until it’s time for dishes. One more day and the new black sneaker come. I think these will be good for work. I am wondering what part time work will be like. It will be nice to meet people, it will be very nice to help others have better days. I am wondering what kinds of things one does as an activity leader.

I am thinking about getting older. I am thinking it’s a good idea not to over think getting older. I remember the older folk in my younger life, and how I had observed the changes in these people from the earliest reference point. Now that I am one of these older folks_____ it’s the outside of the self that gets noticed. By this time there is comfort in evolving into who I am. This will only continue; life is not over yet. Quality over quantity always. I think its time to put the feet up and watch the day begin in silence.
