A Time of Writing, in my old home. Writing is something I have done for a long time now. Journaling, poetry, pen palling, research or stories. From childhood thoughts to much more serious writing at this point in time. I have wondered why writers are compelled to write. IN looking back I think it begins with falling in love with the words by others, books! Stories!

Adventures, knowledge____ The power of words a concept once learned I could not shake. Linked to communication___ the meaning of words and how they are applied. Not always correctly, sometimes gaining new meanings.

As for my compulsion? There are a lot of thoughts that come through my mind____ I do not believe I am a lone with my ideas and thoughts, as I find my own thoughts expressed, like echoes, through the thoughts of other people. This feels like reaffirmation, that I am on target. It is said there is nothing new under the sun. I am inclined to agree, but part of me likes to think this is not entirely true, we need newness my mind says, even if it is only new to us personally.

For those who write, it is the act of refining what is mean so it is more exact, more truthful. “Yes! That feels right!” “That the best information I can find.” And “Now? What about my own ideas. Are they valid? Logical? Can I prove the theories? Or does it boil down to simply going with what feels right? Is it all of these? And so, it continues.

Humans’ develop their own philosophy’s. As long as it does not turn into a kind of propaganda, I think its ok. Cultures full of people running on what seems popular at the time being seems trouble in the making. We need to question what we hear and not just accept it as so. We need to begin with learning who we are, and notice that others can do the same. Our world is full of people, and that makes it a very complex world. It makes it an interesting world, and so are the people in it. Some of us write about this. Writing therefor is done out of curiosity too.
