“Ocean Rider” was the first full Shibui Found Image Art I found. She has anew home, along with a similar Shibui! This was a great sale for me! The new owner purchased her because she was the first, and an original art form. Most all of the edges are there to be worked with, intentional work is done to round out what is found. I do not have a foundation photo for this particular Shibui as it was early on. I will post some foundations to show you what they look like in the early stages and then later on. (I do not give permission without a request to use my work.)
Now! Thoughts for today! Coffee is at the right. There was a thunder shower last night, and the world outside has taken its bath! Still wet but a lot cooler. The heat is a struggle for many.
In a bit I will return to writing the manual. It is coming along nicely! I am pleased with the writing. When images are added I will feel really great! A last step in the process.
Let me see! Pearls of Wisdom from Joyce Hifler, and Pathways, the book I am opening today. Whatever the page I am going with what is there!
I have opened a page about trust. “Trust is a fragile thing. Once broken, it is so difficult to mend. Joseph Conrad, novelist, once said, “Woe to the man whose heart has learned while young to hope, to love___ and to put trust in life.”
Another found thought from Joyce’s book. “It is not too hard to distrust another person, but to be unable to trust ourselves leaves us solely on luck. And luck is fickle and wavering___.”
My thoughts: Trust partners with belief and respect and allows love. Broken trust is extremely hard to take and leaves us questioning ourselves and others, particularly the one breaking our trust, but also those who are that person supporters. People taking sides. Such situations magnify and infuriate. Broken trust is a big deal. It’s even bigger when there are more people involved like children. It is very hard to mend, taking years to find a new balance.
Best wishes! Pejj Nunes.
