Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

The studio. The second felt board is on the long green wall! Under it there is room where a still life can be created. I do need to see if the lighting equipment I have can do soft lighting. I have the set up for teaching live. Mic, web cam, lights____. I am loving getting a studio up and running.

It’s about how to make a studio cottage work. It is turning out that the one long wall connecting what is the kitchen and the studio is no longer a “livingroom wall” There are no windows on this wall, so I put landscape all along the wall. Now the wall has evolved once more. Now, along the wall____ half is the studio set up and the other half it turns out that my writing desk works: behind me is the kitchen, and I am sitting in the kitchen as I write.

It feels cozy, and its about my work. There is no Thomas. There are grandchildren and a daughter and her husband. My time is my own. So I am good. And when the granny hat goes on I am good then too!

Peaks at the studio.

The first image is the first felt board. The second image is the new board.

I keep telling myself it will get there. It is coming together I made more shelf space when I put the new board up! The catch is what to do with the new displacement of art supplies, etc. Organization right?

The new easel lays flat, I can put a portable drafting table on this as well. Three surfaces to work on. Plus tge top of the art file.

I will hang framed art next, that will get it off the floor. I was waiting to paint walls. But figure I can do that later. I need to get things working not just in the studio. But so I can function otherwise.

Best wishes! Pejj
