HMMMMMmmmmmmm! Good morning, everyone! Kids are off to school! One more day this week and then Monday and then its summer vacation!
I am thinking about realness, the word real. We touch things and feel them, they are solid, so they are real. We feel certain feelings are “real” and so they are when we love one another, the relationship feels very good. Emotions are felt.
But there is more to what we feel as real. There are unseen things, things we cannot touch that are real. The soul for example is real. Energy is real. As scientist we want to see these things and validate them. Humankind has a lot of questions, and seeks a lot of answers about many things, and realness has its place up front and at the center. Equations to solve problems cannot be made without a concrete bottom line one can trust in. Realness is something we need to trust in.
It is once again conscious thought____ ideas that are important. Thoughts are something we convey. We want our thoughts to be real, and by that the meaning of real is to be honest, just, fair, trustworthy, respectful, and so on. If someone is being “unreal” they are the exact opposite! Real is important. Being real is important.
What is real for one person may not be real for another person. Real can be positive or negative. Real depends on belief then. On what seems right or wrong. Real is like a safe zone.
We seek other out who have the capacity to be real. It’s good when someone believes in things somewhat as we do. There are things in common.
In art we can do realistic work meaning that what we have created has the illusion of being real although it is on a flat surface or perhaps a dimensional one.
I happened to think of realness as I ran across it in a book of daily meditations by Joyce Hifler.
Best wishes! Pejj
