Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning! Sunshine!

I plan to do some gardening today! Two butterfly bush, a Hummingbird plant, two Daliah and two Lilliy.

Kids off, in studio at 8:13. Coffee on the right! I am good! The sun is out!

I am reading a new book, I have had it for some time, and not read very far into it. Title: Beyond The Doors of Perception, Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal realm, Into The Dreaming of Earth by Stephen Harrod Buhner.

I love the quotes in this book, and they are all uniquely to the point. Here are several. How I could say what I too feel in a better way, I am not sure. Though it would be a good exercise to try.

“Watch with glittering eyes the world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” Roald Dahl. (Glittering eyes are luminous.”

“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes genius____and a lot of courage_____to move in the opposite direction.” Albert Einstein.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is good as dead.” Albert Einstein. He must have embraced life.

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” Albert Einstein. My response to this was “ya! Man!

A thought of mine, from reading Michael A. Singer. He said, Thoughts are just thought.” And so they are, and we don’t have to spend our time defining them. We don’t have to solve every dam thought that cones our way. The mind predicts what we want, that is how it works. Well I for one don’t want to spend my time thinking of the past, rehashing old thoughts my mind simply things I might be interested in. I change thoughts up, and let the mind file these away. I am learning to experience and therefor file away new information. I am much happier now. Its good to find the way not to go there!

Best of wishes! Pejj
