Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Snowy View From My Window.

This snow has gone for the moment. I am used to the snow staying by February. This said, winter is not over. It is beautiful.

I am excited because my new camera comes today. It’s been a while since I owned a professional camera. The last died at the hands of poor shocked Thomas, as it fell from the tripod. He had been helping me set up a shoot. Likely it can be fixed, but hasn’t been, the lens, what more I do not know. I will locate a camera repair shop at some point. But then, the camera is more than 20 years old at this point. So perhaps I will not bother. It was a gift from my mother when I began school. She is no longer here.

The there are art supplies coming, pastels and pastel paper. It seems I yearn to paint. And so, I shall! I went with the thought. Sometimes I think it is a good thing to be compulsive. A “what the heck!” moment in time. I did not have those materials at hand, so now I do. I think what triggered it was the Inktense paintings of the birds, now they can be done in pastels, or it can be the woods outback.

I confirmed it is Mountain Laural I see all through the woods, it’s very beautiful! People do landscape with it. But it is poisonous, now that I know this caution will be necessary.

The big bounders! Grandson Oliver says this has a mouth with long tongue and one tooth. I purchased a camera for him as well so we could take images of pareidolia in the woods.

Best wishes! Pejj
