Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

Coffee at the right! Now to let it settle so its smoothness is there. It is a sunny day here at this point in time! I am embracing the morning quiet with some classical music in the background. I have put the birdseeds out. Now to consider the day.

At some point I will work in my art studio today. The goal for my one of my revenue stream goals is to accomplish 6 Shibui Found Image Art on 6 full sheets of watercolor paper. Next to do a photoshoot of them, so they can go into my website which badly needs an update, one more important thing to do now I have at last settled into my new home. The next step will be to frame them and work on creating an exhibition. I know nothing about the art community here, so hob knobbing is a must too! Courting other artist is a must.

The current image is halfway there! I have not put my work in this computer yet, just a couple so far. That is why me pondering is being used. LOL I normally have more to choose from. This will evolve.

Another revenue stream involves the writing of an instructional manual for Shibui Found Image Art. I understand the process for the art itself, now to express this.

However, there is more research about the creative process to be understood and summed up. This is important because of who my target audiences are. These individuals are people I want to understand and use Shibui foundations so they can create their own brands or come to use my instruction manual on Shibui foundation. I teach about the Field-Event theory which is a part of the process. The manual when done will easily explain what Shibui is and help me sell the concept to facilities who use art or art therapist themselves. My courting of facilities has taught me there is interest for Shibui, that what they love about Shibui is that it is a problem-solving art.

I am looking for artist who do digital art, there is an important role they can play by getting involved with the project when it is put together. Shibui can be done as digital art, but it has a different creative process. I need to understand this process, so I am teaching myself how to do digital art. There are four of us involved. The goal of Digital Shibui will be to help paralyzed individuals do art as therapy. It will help anyone who uses a computer to communicate.

Shibui will help others to instruct Shibui as I do. For an instructor or student to discuss an art form, they need to understand its techniques so intelligent dialog can happen and discoveries can be made about that art form.

I need to find others to banter my ideas around and discover more of the missing pieces there are for me. This is why I instruct, and will return to doing so once set up. I have proof how Shibui works for others, such as Julia Baker Waite whom I wrote of in a prior blog.

Having the interest in many topics does not bring what I am after in focus for what is pertinent. The research is a sorting process. I don’t have to be over broad in my discoveries. I need to make conclusions.

Best wishes! Pejj Nunes 1/5/2024
