Revenue stream goals for 2024: (1) The creation of 12 pastel still life’s. Below is one example of my work so far. The plan is to create and pick from the best when 12 or more are completed. (2) other revenue stream goals will be paintings in one or more of the following mediums: oil, watercolor or gouache. It’s been a while as my focus has been on Shibui Found Image Art. A pivot is a good thing as I write about Shibui. I am loving Paul Rembrandt pastels. The colors are amazing.

It’s been since 1994 that I have had fun with the pastels. I began Shibui 2011. A lot happened after that. I have my new home in my cottage studio and just now feel I am underway! A new easel awaits me! Varooooom! Or perhaps its “Let’s move it! Move it! Move it! More like that! I love claiming my Boho cottage studio!

Good Morning Sunshine!

I like this image of me because it depicts me pondering my thoughts.

What is this process of thinking anyway? Where do thoughts originate? If I try to define thinking, it’s making conclusions about what I thinks with a greater need to understand some thing or other. Thinking seems compulsive behavior by the mind. It’s too easy to get wrapped up in thought. How to have thought be productive and concreate? Not full of overwhelming variables. That would be better.

All thoughts have a beginning trigger. Thought is launched into the consciousness where it is like a rocket ship out there, in the universe. Perhaps consciousness is the universe!

My intuition is consciousness is a state of being present, and to be in a connected state where I can be grounded and have balance.

What would the world be like if we all understood how we are connected to each other? There are people who do believe this. I do! What if this became the norm, the way of living life? How would we carry ourselves if we did not stack up the pros and cons regarding living life well? Would life something richer with more meaningful purpose?

For consciousness to work there is a requirement of knowing how to love one another.

Death is the opposite of life. And in between? Balance of knowing both exist. To understand that death is but a return to a larger consciousness beyond the interment self.

What if, no matter what happened to cause a death. We internalize that though we will indeed miss those we love, wherever they go, they will simply return to their basic form. There is comfort that they no longer need a physical body.

I have seen this grey mist after a death, and I have talked to individuals who have had out of body experiences and come back. These experiences feel like proof. There is so much more to this world.

Joseph Campbell went to all the theologians he was aware of. He asked them all where they thought God was. It is interesting that they all said their God was withing and without. God is consciousness was his conclusion. Does it not make sense we return to consciousness?

Best wishes! Pejj Nunes 1/4/2024
